For today's #OOTDSunday, is kind of exciting while may or may not show my laziness. Honestly, I didn't want to think of what to wear so I just wore something I believe everyone should have. I've gotten compliments of my outfit when really I didn't put any effort to it which was surprising to me. Haha. So here's the ootd...

Outfit details:

GUYS. I FINALLY HAVE A T-SHIRT DRESS! I've been looking for one every since my friends started wearing them. Just so you know, I did not buy this because of peer pressure or to conform to the trend but rather because I believe its a staple piece that everyone should have. Why? Because when you're having one of those lazy days where you don't want to put too much effort into your outfit, but still want to look cute this is the one you need.

I found the dress when my mom and I went grocery shopping last week. I didn't know why we went straight to the clothing section of the Superstore when we should've been grabbing food for our house. Anyhow, this was actually on clearance for around $11-$12, so I just grabbed it and didn't let go.

The dress mostly looks casual (what I meant was that it could also look classy/semi-formal-ish) so I paired it up with one of my favourite sandals from Ardene which has been featured in one of my ootds. I never felt so comfortable my whole life. Honestly I am planning on buying more t-shirt dresses. I am actually eyeing the ones from Garage but its kind of expensive so I'm still thinking about it. Haha.

I also wore a statement necklace and rings from Icing which I thought made the whole look more put together. I really enjoyed my outfit today plus I was happy that I found this dress which is now my favourite! Do you have any type of clothing that you really love? Share it and comment down below!

Hey lovelies!

I am bringing you a new type of beauty series where I would share with you some beauty products or makeup products that I know are affordable and have good quality. As someone who loves makeup, buying highend products are nice but sometimes you want something that has a lower price than what you usually buy.

These days I find myself hunting for beauty products that are up in the alley of affordable and awesome quality. In other words, something that doesn't make your bank account cry. I discovered these products last year when I was going around my local store. I was actually shocked to find makeup at their price range because I didn't think it existed.

Essence Cosmetics actually launched at 2001 and originates from Germany. They offer more than makeup products (i.e., nail products like polish, beauty tools and nail stickers) which I find it awesome because they're cheap and good quality which means more affordable products from them!

This is not by any means a review. It is only a series where I feature and swatch affordable products because I know everyone out there wants to know if such thing exist. So yes, if you want a review of any of these products, comment down below and I might just do that!

Anyways, here are the swatches of each of the products.

Their price ranges from $1.49-$10 depending where you are from. If you live in Canada, the only place that I could find them is at Shoppers Drugmart. If you live in the U.S., you will most likely find them at Ulta and if you are from Europe, I found a site called Wilko which sells them from £1-£4.

I mean where else could you find products like that?? If you do find them other than any other stores or sites I mentioned, comment down below and tell us where to help a girl out! Welcome back for another #OOTDSunday! Today's outfit features denim on denim that I did not even plan on wearing. In other words, I was completely clueless on what to wear for today. But even though my outfit was sort of not planned, it still worked out! So here's my OOTD...

Outfit details:
Top: Forever 21
Bottom: Garage
Shoes: Jessica

Waking up today and thinking of what to wear was a chore because I wasn't able to plan for my outfit and I had to leave the house earlier than usual. As I was looking through my closet and the clothes that I was suppose to wear, I thought "why not wear the denim top by itself?" And so I did.

Wearing denim on denim is kind of risky because you have to make sure it doesn't clash. I mean you don't want to look like Britney and Justin at the 2001 AMAs. I love them but not the outfits. I believe the key into wearing such an outfit is contrast. Make sure that one is a darker shade than the other so that it tones down your whole entire look--to make it more appealing in the eyes and less blinding.

I was about to wear a pair of flats or converse but I thought to wear heels instead to somehow make the look classy. I mean, blue and shades of brown somewhat compliment each other so I opted to wear my booties that I bought from when I still worked at Sears.

I bought this from a brand named Jessica owned by Jessica Simpson. I actually never heard of them not until I bought these shoes. Since I purchased them years ago, I can't find them anywhere so you could see other similar shoes from Amazon here. And yes, I am wearing a blue and white striped socks. I tried to fold them earlier this morning so that it won't be seen, but it somehow goes with what I was wearing so I left it as that.

Then I wore accessories that has a hint of gold to it since it compliments my warm toned skin and my outfit! Here are additional photos since the photography and lighting was on point!

I am back with another review for our midweek beauty post. Today I am reviewing Forever 21's eyeshadow quad that I purchased around 2 months ago. I actually didn't know they sell their own line of makeup from eye makeup to lipsticks to makeup brushes. I was really excited when I purchased this because the colours are gorgeous and perfect for summer.

The eyeshadows themselves are smooth and silky. They are a bit powdery but nothing that would waste the product. I find it very easy to apply and blend which I think is because of the argan oil. The colours for me are versatile because you could create a smokey eye look at the same time create an everyday makeup look.

When I'm in the mood to apply eye shadow, I just use either the coppery-bronze colour or the brown shade all over my eyes. I noticed that as you blend the product, it becomes less shimmery which I like. If you do want that shimmery eye effect, you can dab more of the shadow onto your eye.

Now, the question: how much?

Verdict?

I think its worth the buy if you are still trying out makeup or if you are a beginner. Its really blendable and the colour selection, though they are four, is good for the price and quality. Its also awesome for an everyday look!

Today's OOTD Sunday is special to me because I was wearing one of my late grandmother's top that she used to wear when she was younger. My mother found it in one of our boxes in the garage when we were rummaging around for clothes to donate to our local thrift store. I volunteered to have it since none of my sisters wanted it. At first I thought I would have a hard time looking for pieces to match it with, but as I was going through my closet I realized that it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would.

So here's my OOTD...

Outfit details:
Top: From my late Grandma
Bottom: Garage
Shoes: Zara
Accessories: Watch from Charming Charlie; Belt from Ardene

For some reason whenever I look at the top, it reminds me of farms and the countryside of where I was born. The sleeves, too, has that Filipiniana feel to it without the stiffness of the traditional dress. The colour is a subtle light green that doesn't overpower and the small checkered print allows myself not to look bigger. Overall, I love this top. I could wear it with high-waisted shorts and sneakers to make it look a bit more casual.

With today's ootd, I paired the top in which I tucked in with my pants from Garage where I folded the ends (one of the reasons I did that was because it was too long for my 5'1 and a half self). I wore a brown braided belt to make the look a bit more put together and my shoes from Zara that slightly matches the belt while makes the look classy.

Hey lovelies!

I am reviewing the Kaplan MD Perfect Pout lip duo that I purchased a couple of months ago at Sephora. One of the reasons why I bought this product was because I wanted something that can moisturize my lips while having that plumping effect. In order words, I wanted the Kylie Jenner lips without the pain.

You can purchase this product at your local Sephora stores for C$28 ("C" stands for Canadian just in case you didn't know). It may even be cheaper if you're in the U.S. or a bit more expensive if you're in Europe or Asia. I actually found this by the line dividers I think its called. You know, those little temptations by Sephora that you find when you're in line and about to pay. Yeah...

The box contains a lip mask (0.32 oz), a lip balm (0.17 oz), a spoon to scoop the product and information regarding how to use each item. Honestly, the instructions are easy to follow and it only takes an average person around 3-5 mins to do them.

Instructions from the Sephora website:
Lip 20 Mask:
- As step one, spread a generous layer directly to clean lips.
- To treat the fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, spread about a half-inch beyond the natural lip line.
- Mild tingling will occur due to the papaya enzymes.
- Let sit for three to five minutes, then wipe off any excess product with a soft cloth or tissue.
Lip 20 Balm:
- Apply immediately after exfoliating to seal in hydration and protect lips.

Okay, enough blabbing and I will share what this product claims to do that you can see from the Sephora website or on the box.

Claims:
"This must-have antiaging pair naturally plumps and redefines the look of the lip contour while quenching skin’s thirst by deeply hydrating. Both the lip mask and balm reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area and protect against sun damage."

When I first used the mask, I felt weird because of the tingling effect of the enzymes. You can actually see your lips become more plump and juicy looking. My lips are naturally plump but it thins out at the sides. Using the product, I noticed that the side portion of my lips gets a bit thicker whenever I use the mask. I usually allow it to stay on my lips for 5 minutes and then wipe it off with tissue. (side note: whenever applying the mask, always over apply it about a quarter to half an inch. You would see the effect more that way.) Then, I apply a generous amount of lip balm on my lips.

For those who are wondering of the scent, I don't find it a bother because it doesn't have a strong fragrance. Also, I find it best if you use this product at night, so that it could absorb the balm and moisturize the lips while you sleep.

Does it have a lasting effect?
I am not sure about the plumping effect. I don't really observe if my lips are as plump after applying the product. I do notice though that I don't need to apply my normal lip balm as much as before because my lips are not as dry and cracked. (DON'T FOLLOW ME! YOU SHOULD STILL USE LIP BALM TO PROTECT LIPS FROM SUNBURN.)

Is it worth it?
To be honest, I think its worth the investment. If you really have dry lips, this will help lessen the peeling and the cracking. It helped me a lot with my dry lips and now my lips are healthy looking as ever! Plus, it gives you that plump, healthy, Kylie Jenner type of lips! I mean who wouldn't want that.

Today is OOTD Sunday so therefore I bring forth my outfit of the day. This is probably my favourite outfit of all that I posted online. Also, I think this is the first time that I actually assisted my sister with the photos. I usually just let her take my photos and get it over with. Anyhow, here's my OOTD...

Lately, I have been obsessed with maxi skirts! I think its really perfect to wear during the summer time because its flowy, fresh and different from the usual shorts outfit. Today's outfit was all about that pop of colour! So I really enjoyed pairing my maxi skirt with neutral colours and my white sandals from Ardene.

I found the skirt when my family and I went to the Surrey night market at Cloverdale. As we were walking around, the maxis caught my eye and when I cave in to buy it I couldn't be anymore happier! My mom actually bought it for me because she already purchased something from the same guy who was selling it. In other words, I got two maxi skirts at a cheaper price.

If I am being honest, the best part of my outfit for me was the belt that I was wearing. It was on promo at Ardene for 3 belts for $15 (seriously girls who live in Canada or anyone who has this store in your local mall, go and check them out. They have great deals!). What's the reason? I feel like it puts the outfit together. Also, it keeps my stomach in! Haha.
